I re joined my body fit after falling off the wagon and not being able to get back on it for a while, I used the excuse of a busy job and high maintenance kids! I felt like I was back at the beginning and was so self conscious about going. As always Jake put my mind at rest and supported me, in and out of my sessions. After a few months and back in the gym, I never thought I would be confident enough to re join the group sessions, fast forward to today. Going to pt sessions or group classes is no longer a chore, it’s a way of life. Who knew a year ago that I would be up and out 3 times a week for a 6.15am class? My body fit did that to me. I am so much stronger and fitter than I ever thought I would be and it’s all thanks to the pts supporting me through it. Yes I moaned a lot along the way (!) but now; I get it…… and I love it!

I signed up to My Body Fit around 3 years ago. I used to go the gym a little bit but not consistently. My main goal was to build up some leg strength as I had suffered a broken knee back in 2015 playing ice hockey which was causing me issues in everyday life. When I first started I could barely do squats or lunges. Fast forward 3 years and I'm still having my PT sessions with Dave who knows how far he can push me and get the best out of me. I not long ago squatted 140kg something I would not have done without my body fit. I have also recently started going the classes in the week which are fun and I find myself in a routine. I can go there without thinking of what to do and after 45 minutes of having fun and working hard I have had a great work out with other my body fit members. Thanks to Dave and MyBodyFit I don't have my knee issues anymore and I am getting fitter and stronger… Can't wait for another 3 years!

I originally signed up to PT with My Body Fit to try and slim down a bit for my wedding. I joined in October of 2018. I was the most inactive I had been in years from a neck injury and wanted to feel confident when I walked down the aisle. I ‘achieved’ what I wanted to and felt really confident. I think that for me is when I realised there was more to it that looking good for a single occasion. The intention was to drop PT session in the March and carry on with just a regular gym routine. Fast forward nearly a year and I am still having PT and loving group sessions. My diet has never been amazing and it was the limiting factor to me seeing more obvious results. With a bit of persuasion from Kim I took on the 6 week challenge which was more than turning up for a few classes and sessions. It has opened up a whole new mindset for me with food and I am constantly now trying and incorporating new foods that 6 months I go I would have just avoided because ‘I wouldn’t like it’. I am both proud of myself and a lot more confident BUT the experience with My Body Fit has taught me a lot more than some numbers on a scale. I have more energy than ever, and I see the gym as a hobby not a chore. My diet has significantly improved and I now make better decisions without even really thinking about it. It’s become a life style change for both myself and my partner which was needed, it’s just an added bonus that I have met so many lovely people and had so much fun throughout my fitness journey.

Before I started Mybody-fit I was quite overweight with generally quite an unhealthy lifestyle. I had been struggling to become fit since leaving university in 2017. Although I worked out (inconsistently), I found that I never made any progress. What reservation if any did you have about starting? I didn't have reservations before starting but I wasn’t sure I would enjoy a new style of workout, given that I had become used to very slow paced weights exercises. So far the process has been Fantastic. Feeling healthier than I’ve been in years and my fitness has improved massively. The best results so far is being able to fit into clothes that I thought would never see the light of day again. All the compliments haven’t hurt either!
